Fire and water are common symbols in world religions. Together and separately, they can symbolize a life giving force, destruction, purification, and inspiration. On March 18th the Ventura County Interfaith Community explored the use of these elements in three religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Unitarian Universalism.
On Tuesday evening, May 20th, we will focus on three additional faiths for which fire and/or water are important symbols. Join us at 7:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3501 Loma Vista Road in Ventura for a fascinating discussion of the use of fire and/or water by Hinduism, Buddhism, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
As with all of our events, this event is free and open to all, so please share freely with friends and family you feel may be interested.
